A highly experienced and award-winning Interior & Architectural Designer with a creative passion to build a better environment and improve people's well-being.
Her travels and experience working on projects around the world have inspired her to create progressive spaces that help clients achieve their goals!
Having 20 years' experience in the industry Alicia has worked on a vast array of projects from £15k to £30 million, covering residential, education, hospitality and commercial projects.
Alicia founded Design Mentorship after discovering that many people were frustrated with the limitations of traditional design processes. She embarked on research and development to create a more affordable, efficient, and hands-on approach, resulting in the innovative Design Mentor method.

Good sustainable design needs full mentorship or design packages at each stage to bring all the elements together.
BRIEF DEVELOPMENT
A successful project needs a detailed brief to establish exactly what you want from your design and ensures you get the best solution.
Through Design Mentorship we create a detailed brief and feasibility study and identify areas in which the productivity, sustainability and well-being can be increased.
The brief will identify your budget which we will design to.
MEASURED SURVEYS
We can work with your existing drawings or create new.
A measured survey will check what has been built as existing drawings may not be correct or cover everything required to create a new design.
We provide accurate existing plans and identify capabilities of the property for development. We can also survey the furniture and fittings.
CONCEPT DESIGN
Based on your brief and survey we create a concept board, 2D layouts and 3D visuals with shopping list so you can fully understand the design.
We believe there is only one correct solution based on your requirements that will reflect you or your brand.
For commercial projects it is one of the biggest marketing tools and functional aspects to operate successfully.
COSTING & TENDERING
We provide full cost estimates prior to tendering so that we can value engineer if required. Raw material costs are rising rapidly so the quick the project takes the cheaper it will be. The best way to speed up the process is to make quick decisions, no revisions and don't delay.
We manage the full tendering process to ensure you get the best contractor to deliver your requirements.
By choosing this route compared to using a design and build company you can ensure you get the design you really want, quality is maintained, and any cost savings are passed onto you.
DETAIL DESIGN
We provide full drawing packages required for construction and to comply with building regulations.
We work with the contractors early in the process to provide a fast track solution.
This ensures that you do not run into any foreseeable problems and that the contractor does not make snap decisions onsite which could lead to compromised design or functionality.
This helps in keeping costs on track and prevents delays to construction.
PLANNING & BUILDING REGULATIONS
Permitted development, planning applications, conservation areas, listed buildings ...we advise on the best route and deliver it for you.
Building regulation approval is required for most building works and is the minimum standards for design, construction and alterations. All our work is compliant, and we often exceed the standards to future proof designs and be sustainable.
PROJECT MANAGEMET
By appointing us to oversee your construction project you have peace of mind that our design and specification is carried out.
We will co-ordinate all the elements and make sure you remain on-track.
SNAGGING & FINAL SIGN-OFF
We offer a final project completion assessment as part of the project management or as a separate service on our projects or others. Our expert eye will pick up any items not up to standard or specification and oversee the rectification.
FF&E PROCUREMENT
We provide full procurement of furniture and accessories. We work closely with many suppliers and other professionals so we can provide all the services you require for a turnkey solution.
